Hadith:
“whoever recites the following istighfaarthree times when he goes to sleep, all his sins will be forgiven, even though his sins are like the foam of an ocean, or like the amount of leaves, or like the amount of sand, or as much as the days of this world . (Sunan Tirmidhi: 3397… Musnad Ahmad: 11089)
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الْعَظِیْمَ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ
الْحَیُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
الْحَیُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
Translation:
I seek forgiveness of Allah the Great, there is no god but Him, Ever Living, Self-Subsisting,andI turn to Him.
